Territorio Impermanente2024
The project explores collective rest on a nocturnal, variable, and impermanent topography—an intermittent repose where wakefulness prevails.

It reimagines rest as an opportunity for connection with others: a mobile, connected, and social rest.

The design creates an artificial ergonomic territory with the potential to become natural. This is a fabricated yet biodegradable landscape, capable of disappearing and intertwining with nature. It is a dark and deep topography, entirely composed of organic materials such as cotton, wool fleece, buckwheat hulls and activated charcoal, whose microscopic structure shapes the territory's morphology.

The project examines rest oscillating between stillness and unrest: enough to pause, but insufficient to remain. The topographic work acts as a buffer, mediating between states of encounter and disconnection, sleep and wakefulness, creation and decomposition.

It develops surfaces that appear wet but do not soak; feel sticky but do not adhere. Materials that are gentle, caressing yet also repelling.

The work narrates an anxious and connected rest, an unattainable dream, an insomniac nocturnality.
